I had to spray a bear while mushroom hunting this summer. the bear would not leave & i was cornered in a steep gully... it was walking toward my dogs & i. not sure what would have happened or what the bear had in mind but as soon as it got a whiff of the spray it threw it's head back & headed the other direction.
